ASLEF at the National Training Awards
On the 5th of November ASLEF were at Edinburgh Castle for the Regional finals of the National Training Awards.
The ASLEF’s lifelong learning project (fund through SULF) in Scotland was up for the award in the Partnership & Collaboration category. The category is aimed at two or more organisations working together to design, deliver and evaluate learning. The award seeks to acknowledge and celebrate the impact and success created through the use of a collaborative approach to learning.
The work we have been doing in Scotland working in partnership with Stow College Trade Union Education Department and ScotRail in delivering free and shift friendly learning in the workplace was the reason behind the nomination. Without the hard work and dedication of the union learner reps this would not have been possible.
